Now that some production has resumed, people will be able to find some of their shows returning to streaming platforms over the next few months.

Here’s some of the recent releases and expected dates for upcoming movies and shows on popular streaming platforms:

Disney+:

  • Season 2 of The Mandalorian
    • After a successful first season with the launch of the streaming platform in November of 2019, Disney+ has renewed the Star Wars spin-off series for a second season that began airing on the platform on October 30. Episodes air weekly each Friday through December 18.
  • Marvel’s 616
    • An eight-episode Disney+ original series that highlights the storytelling and characters from the perspective of Marvel filmmakers. The entirety of the series will be available on the platform starting November 20.
  • Pixar’s Soul
    • Originally scheduled to premiere on June 19, 2020, Soul was rescheduled to November 20 due to the pandemic; however, with many U.S. theaters still shuttered due to COVID-19 restrictions, Disney Pixar announced that the film will be released directly to Disney+ beginning on December 25. Unlike Mulan, Disney+ will not be charging an additional premium fee for its users to view the film when it releases.

Netflix:

  • Season 4 of The Crown
