About

The Stentor is the official student newspaper of Lake Forest College. Established in 1887, the publication is printed bi-weekly throughout the academic year. StentorNews.com was launched in the spring of 2014 to complement the print edition. Student staff members are responsible for creating content for the newspaper, including balanced and fair stories and photographs for each section: News, Opinions, Features, Arts and Entertainment and Sports.

The purpose of the Stentor is to provide the student body with information of relevance to their Lake Forest College experience and an outlet in which to responsibly express their opinions. Furthermore, the Stentor serves as a real-world opportunity for students to develop skills in writing, photography, critical thinking, problem solving, collaboration and more.

The Stentor welcomes private comments from its readers as well as public letters to the editor. Letters must meet these criteria to see publication: limited to 500 words and contain the author’s name and electronic signature. Letters will be checked for accuracy, and letters that contain libel, obscenity, or invasion of privacy will not be published. Submit to editor@lakeforest.edu.
