The 2022-23 swimming and diving season was a successful one for the Foresters. The men’s team finished 3rd in the Midwest Conference, while the women ended up in 2nd place, only three  points away from a conference championship. This was in large part due to the success of senior Violet Anderson ’23, who, for the second consecutive year, won the 200-yard butterfly event in the Midwest Conference Championships with a time of 2.09.11. Additionally, Anderson won the 200-yard individual medley event, and—along with Megan Dodrill ’26, Valeria Welk ’26, and Amelie Andres ’26—won the 400-yard freestyle relay event for the Foresters, finishing with a time of 3.34.64. The Foresters also were awarded several individual awards, including Anderson being named the Midwest Conference Swimmer of the Year for the 2nd time in her career. Stentor staff talked to Anderson about her accomplishments in the pool.
