The ENTP 340: Inclusive Innovation class is hosting a pop-up shop! It is called I-pop and will take place April 23 at the Gorton Community Center in downtown Lake Forest from 10:30 a.m. to noon. The whole class is collaborating and working hard to make the event impactful. To plan the event, the class is researching pop-up shops, collecting vendors, creating marketing materials, hanging up posters, and more. So, we would appreciate it if you could all come and support us!

The goal of the inclusive innovation class is to answer the questions of, why are women, people of color, and other groups persistently excluded from entrepreneurial resources, and how might we make entrepreneurship more inclusive to drive disruptive innovation, help people reach their full potential, and propel positive economic growth. Throughout the semester, we have learned the obstacles that women, Latinx, Black, LGBTQIA+ entrepreneurs face when starting their own business. Due to this, our pop-up shop is designed to highlight incredible business owners in Lake County who may share those identities. So far, we have vendors selling food, art, dog treats, and more! There will be a variety of businesses there, and there will even be some food trucks outside.

In order for this event to be a success, we need customers to support! It is a FREE thing to do on the weekend, so please sign up. If you have something that you would like to sell, please let me know.
