As we reach the middle of the Spring 2021 semester, the College’s Student Government is hard at work to expand its initiatives through the end of the year and into the next. Stentor staff interviewed Student Government Vice President Alec McCartney for further updates on their plans moving forward.
On Wednesday, March 24, Student Government conducted its first senate meeting for the Spring 2021 semester. The new senators welcomed are:
Residential Senator: Class of 2023 – Julian Cano and Alvaro Gallegos
Residential Senator: Class of 2024 – Chelsea Davis and Wiktoria Pedryc
Commuter Senator: Class of 2022 – Elias Kraus and Olivia Stensberg
Commuter Senator: Class of 2024 – Suma Pasupulati and Kate Rooney
Remote Domestic Senator: Class of 2022 – Heather Atherton
Remote Domestic Senator Class of 2024 – Gabe Blindauer
The new senators will finalize their training on Wednesday, March 31, and will begin Student Government work thereafter. Macartney also shared that the Executive Board elections will take place from Monday, April 19, at 12 p.m. to Tuesday, April 20 at 12 p.m. CST via my.involvement.
