Time has allowed us to slowly become aware of the crisis that is claiming our planet: global warming. As of recently, the issue has continuously gained more attention as we see the threats that have been posed, such as natural disasters and the rise in heat. These threats have resulted in an encouragement for everyone to restrict any action that contributes to emitting waste and carbon emissions. This encouragement has progressed into a sort of blame that is now being placed on others, even though the original goal was working toward a world that is more environmentally friendly. The original end goal is one that we should be proud to be working toward, but in our panic and the large companies who rely on extensive use of fossil fuels and energy realization that they play a harmful role in global warming, it has turned into an accusation game.
Recent years have shown us exactly what we are up against as we are combating the ongoing natural disasters that continue to plague our communities. These disasters are too large of problems for individuals to make any significant defense against, because unfortunately they are created from the global emissions that are released from these companies that rely on energy and fossil fuels. The release of the majority of these global emissions is done so by the companies and governments, so it is up to them if there will be any significant change made. The problem is governments and larger companies have not and will not make any effective change because they favor their needs over the general population’s and encourage the government and its inhabitants to do the same through money.
As we continue to face the effect of global warming, it is important to play an individual role in combating the crisis while simultaneously working to encourage larger corporations and governments to change their view and actions against combating climate change. Individuals may not be able to have a significantly effective role in improving conditions but working to change the established system that has allowed us to reach these severe circumstances is important.
